Care and ingredients
Undiluted fragrance oil, and what that means for how you use it.
This is for scenting a room, not for wearing.
Do not put it on skin, do not swallow it, and keep it away from eyes, children and pets. Fragrance is among the most common contact allergens and this is the concentrated form, not a body product diluted for the purpose. Some of these smell like food. None of them are.
What is in the bottle
Undiluted fragrance oil. Nothing else, and nothing watered down. A full ounce, which is roughly twice what most home fragrance brands sell, because a warmer takes five to ten drops at a time and we would rather you had months of them.
Every oil is phthalate free.
The notes are listed in full on every product page, and each one has a paragraph of its own about what it is. A fragrance oil is a blend and the exact formula belongs to the house that makes it, so nobody in this trade publishes one and neither do we.
Using it
In a warmer, electric or tea light
Fill the dish about two thirds with water first, then add five to ten drops on top. Top the water up before it runs dry.
The water is not optional. It holds the dish near boiling and keeps the oil well below the temperature at which its vapour can catch. A dry dish over a flame will pass that point. An electric warmer is the safer of the two because there is no flame at all.
In an electric or ultrasonic diffuser
The same few drops, into the water reservoir. Check your diffuser's own instructions first: some units are built for essential oils and their makers do not recommend fragrance oils in them.
Away from heat altogether
A drop or two on a wooden bead, a scent stone, or a cotton pad, left in a drawer, a closet, a car vent or a vacuum bag. Anywhere the air moves and nobody is handling it.
Looking after it
Keep the cap on and keep it out of direct sun. Light and air are what dull a fragrance over time, not age on its own. Somewhere cool and dark is enough; it does not need a fridge.
Undiluted oil can mark polished wood, painted surfaces and some plastics. Stand a warmer on something you do not mind, and wipe a spill up rather than leaving it.
Peel the verse band off before you throw an empty bottle out and keep it. People put them inside a Bible more often than we expected.
If something goes wrong
If it gets on skin, wash it off with soap and water. If it gets in eyes, rinse with water for several minutes. If any is swallowed, ring a poison control centre rather than waiting to see. In the United States that is 1-800-222-1222.
If a bottle arrives broken, leaking, or it is not what you ordered, tell us within thirty days and we will replace it. Otherwise all sales are final, which is why every fragrance lists its notes in full before you buy. The whole policy is on shipping and returns.
These are not medicine, and nothing here is a claim to treat, cure or prevent any condition.
